Post reply -->London Battersea Sheila 6 Sep ^ Battersea hi shelia and BB we have had some good postings on hopping in kent jims favourite subject, chopper comes on now and then of cause its freedom of speech on our site messages always go on don't know why you can't join us. i am reading a book called casper the communting cat its a true story of how he boarded a bus everydayand travelled for 10 miles then would at buses return opposite his home jump off and return to his owners house must admit really an enjoyable read for a older child or cat lovers. we can put recipes on there. I have found two of the girls who were at my school lbut sadly they had died but its only through site i found relatives of them be surprised how many of us try to help anyone searching for long lost friends relatives, not had holiday was widowed in 208 . i still like the soaps eastenders keep doing story lines on phil mitchell bit too much story lines for him all the time, i don't like his story line heard and seen it all before it corries and emmerdale i Post reply -->London Battersea anj 7 Sep ^ Battersea - Hi AnjThats a funny little posting...........who are you waiting for..............and where are you waiting. I haven't been on this site lately as there never seems to be much doing. Probably because people get fed up trying to get postings on. I've had my family visiting from the north recently and they went home this morning. Much as I love them am looking forward to some peace and quiet. Football season starts tomorrow - Chelsea are playing, and as my other half is a season ticket holder, he is looking forward to the first match. The caravan park is still there opposite the lavender field. As far as I know the cafe in Oaks Park is still there, but haven't been there for a while. Many thanks for the information on the Lavender Fields. I was interested because I used to live along Woodmansterne Lane and could not recall it. At first I thought it must have been near the Oaks Park because I remember they had a small shop there as well as the Cafe (which I remember only too well from my days when we turned the Cafe into a Polling Station for the day. Very pleasant it was too and getting paid as well). I seem to recall a sort of Caravan site on the corner opposite the Lavender Fields. Weather not too good up here today overcast and rainy. We actually went to the lavender field in Banstead on Sunday. We took my cousin and her husband, but it was absolutely packed, nowhere to park, so turned round and came out. The perfume and colour were lovely, I would have bought a bunch but the queues were too long. So I sneakily picked a piece - don't think anyone saw.............
